SENS is a practice-oriented, thematic structure for assessment, treatment planning and evaluation of chronic, progressive, and potentially life-threatening diseases.
SENS focuses on problems, but also on everyday resources, it strengthens the self-efficacy in dealing with this new situation in life through a participative approach. SENS should be used concurrently with standard therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in people with advanced disease. SENS focuses on central palliative care topics in a structure that is comprehensible, simple and easy to learn for all involved.
